You're probably wondering why there are so many projects on this website about an Executive Assitant. Well, after years in communications and software management, I put my career on hold to stay home with my children. As the time for them to begin school neared, I decided to expand my communications knowledge by learning how to code. Through SheCodes, I learned the basics of front end work in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and the React library. When looking for careers in the web development field, I got my foot in the door at a local web design company as an Executive Assistant to the CEO. While not the job I initially planned for my career path, I swiftly grew to love the role. Providing support to help growth happen more quickly, learning new skills in various fields to become a jack of all trades, and being the person everyone can come to when a solution is needed has been such a rewarding experience. So yes, this is a portfolio of a skillset I possess that has nothing to do with my current career, but it's a testament to the fact that I'm eager to learn and capable of pivoting well.
